ab roller
The Ab Roller is one of the most pop and common ab exercise products in the world. I’m not talking about any particular brand, but the boilersuit use of ab rollers in many gyms around the world, and in private homes as well.
The Ab Roller is a simple twist with which you do crunches. The device has a head rest so you can support your neck and a handle bar of sorts (different one in various models) that you hold with your hands and sometimes support your arms on.
The idea is that a lot of people complain about straining their neck when they do regular crunches and sit-ups. This product is supposed to solve that problem.
However, the way the Ab Roller is marketed is often suggestive of a much bigger and greater role. By watching the commercials or reading about this product, you get the feeling that you’ve found a quick way to burn off your excess belly fat and get flat abs. It often seems like the Ab Roller is the all around solution to anyone’s excessive abdominal fat.
Well, is this product really effective? What can it do and what can’t it do? It’s time to figure it out once and for all.
The Ab Roller does provide support for your head and may be useful for people who ar new to training and want to make sure that they’re doing crunches correctly. I’ve spoken with a physiotherapist and she told maine that it does have merit in that respect. However, there’s nothing about this product that makes the crunches you do more effective. You won’t be acquiring any better toning or strengthening results by using the Ab Roller, in my opinion. I know that I prefer doing exercises without this machine because I prefer a freer and more natural exercise environment. However, this is up to you.
What I am sure about is that using this product won’t burn a lot of belly fat. Let’s be honest, when was the last time you broke a sweat by doing crunches? My guess is never.
The truth is that crunches ar simply not calorie expensive: they don’t burn a lot of calories and so they don’t burn a lot of fat either. This is true for this ab exercise machine and practically any other that I’ve stumbled across. So, you can use this machine to strengthen your abs, but don’t expect to lose your beer belly with it.
